👉 ἀμάη ? – a Hebrew word with the meaning of σύγχυσις ‘mixture, confusion’ ? (Hsch. α 3450); however, the gloss is probably damaged (noteworthy are both the unusual style of definition and unexpected alphabetical order: α 3448 ἀμάρης, α 3449 ἀμάρῃσι, α 3450 ἀμάη, α 3451 †ἀμαρία, α 3452 ἁμαρτάδας).
⚠ Hsch. α 3450: ἀμάη· ῾Εβραϊστί, †βαβαὶ Συριστί, ῾Ελληνιστὶ σύγχυσις – “amaē: in Hebrew, babai in Aramaic, synchysis in Greek”. At least the major part of the definition seems to come from the Tower of Babel narrative in BH / LXX: Gen. 11.9; therefore, †βαβαὶ should be corrected to Βαβέλ (cf. Aquila: Gen. 11.9).
