👉 ἄτωρ – an Egyptian gloss with the meaning of μελία ‘ash tree (Fraxinus L.)’ (Hsch. α 8213).

Hsch. α 8213: ἄτωρ· ἡ μελία, ὑπὸ Αἰγυπτίων – “atōr: ash tree, (called so) by the Egyptians”.

🅔 An Egyptian word without etymology. It is unlikely that the gloss is connected with Egyptian ṯr.t ‘willow’, Demotic tr.t ‘id.’, Coptic ⲧⲱⲣⲉ (S), ⲑⲱⲣⲉ (B) ‘id.’.
